We have now entered the last 10 days of Ramadan, these are the days of salvation from the hellfire.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that one should say, “Allahumma ajirni min an-nar,” (‘O Allah, save me from the Fire!’) seven times after Maghrib and Fajr prayers. He told us (Allah bless him and give him peace) that saying it at Maghrib would grant one protection from the Fire if one died at night; and saying it at Fajr would grant one protection from the Fire if one died during the day. [Sunan Abi Dawud]
May we all be protected and saved from the hellfire, may Allah accept our repentance and forgive us for our sins, mistakes and shortcomings. Amin!
Our Beloved Prophet salla’Allahu ‘alayhi wasalam said: “Know that what does not afflict you could never have afflicted you; and what afflicts you would never have missed you.” He then followed the statement with the remedy for afflictions, “And realize that victory is with patience, relief is with stress, and indeed with difficulty comes ease.” [Nawawi’s 40 Hadith]

Everything that hurts a believer is a calamity. Tests are like gold. You test gold in fire to test if its real, test its substance. That is the true nature of calamities- to test you. Allah knows your state before and after the test. Your test is for you to learn and others around you. Most of our actions are reactions- control your reactions!

Allahumma inni as’aluka al-afu, wa al-afiyah wa al-mu’afat ad-daimah fi ad-dini wa ad-duniya wal-akhirah.
O Allah! You are Pardoning and Generous and You love to pardon, so pardon me. O Allah! I ask you for pardoning, good health (in body), and to be (spiritually) healthy always in my religion and in this life and the hereafter. Amin ya Rabb!
