We have now entered the last 10 days of Ramadan, these are the days of salvation from the hellfire.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said that one should say, “Allahumma ajirni min an-nar,” (‘O Allah, save me from the Fire!’) seven times after Maghrib and Fajr prayers. He told us (Allah bless him and give him peace) that saying it at Maghrib would grant one protection from the Fire if one died at night; and saying it at Fajr would grant one protection from the Fire if one died during the day. [Sunan Abi Dawud]

May we all be protected and saved from the hellfire, may Allah accept our repentance and forgive us for our sins, mistakes and shortcomings. Amin!

Our Beloved Prophet salla’Allahu ‘alayhi wasalam said: “Know that what does not afflict you could never have afflicted you; and what afflicts you would never have missed you.” He then followed the statement with the remedy for afflictions, “And realize that victory is with patience, relief is with stress, and indeed with difficulty comes ease.” [Nawawi’s 40 Hadith]

Taken from this very beautiful answer on the Seeker’s Guidance Website: Divine Decree, Contentment, and Lessons from the Prophet’s life (salla’Allahu ‘alayhi wasalam). Please read it!

Everything that hurts a believer is a calamity. Tests are like gold. You test gold in fire to test if its real, test its substance. That is the true nature of calamities- to test you. Allah knows your state before and after the test. Your test is for you to learn and others around you. Most of our actions are reactions- control your reactions!

Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadini n’nabiyyi l-ummiyyi wa ‘ala alihi wa salam taslima(n)

O Allah! Send Your mercy on the Unlettered Prophet Muhammad and on his family and shower him with peace.

Whoever recites this 80 times on Friday after Asr prayer before moving from his place, 80 years of his sins will be forgiven and 80 years of worship will be allocated to him. (Jami al-saghir, Al-Qawl al-badi, taken from “Reflections of Pearls by Imam Uddin & Abdur-Rahman Ibn Yusuf”)

HasbunAllahu wa ni`mal Wakil [3:173]

Allah (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)

“When He gives, He shows you His Kindness; when He deprives, He shows you His power. And in all that, He is making Himself known to you and coming to you with His gentleness.”

Ibn ‘Ata’Allah al-Iskandari

‎”Each perception of beauty is a prayer upon the Prophet.” (Contention 13.87, Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad)

“Allah is more concerned for your wellbeing than you are yourself”

Since we are now in the days of forgiveness in this blessed month of Ramada:

Allahumma innaka ‘Afuwun Karimun tuhib ul ‘afwa fa ‘afu’ anni,

Allahumma inni as’aluka al-afu, wa al-afiyah wa al-mu’afat ad-daimah fi ad-dini wa ad-duniya wal-akhirah.

O Allah! You are Pardoning and Generous and You love to pardon, so pardon me. O Allah! I ask you for pardoning, good health (in body), and to be (spiritually) healthy always in my religion and in this life and the hereafter. Amin ya Rabb!
